BMW Singapore Tries New Prank on Unsuspecting Owner of 3-Series [with Video]

April 1st may be a long way off for most of us but not for BMW Singapore, which has rolled out a new episode of its candid-camera-like prank series called "The Switch".

In the first episode we saw BMW's pranksters replacing a young woman's standard 1-Series Coupe with a performance-enhanced twin. Similarly, the second chapter involves a young couple with BMW's inside-person being the young wife of a 3-Series sedan owner.

With the wife's help, BMW's people switched her husband's regular, white-colored saloon with a modified 3-Series featuring an array of BMW Performance Accessories such as an engine kit, numerous aero parts, a sport exhaust system, bucket front seats, chunky double spoke alloy wheels and a sports suspension.

Caught on Film: Alert Toyota Driver Saves Careless Motorcyclist's Life

Due to the fact that motorcyclists are far less protected in the event of an accident, they usually pay more attention to the road than car drivers.

But not this time as the man seen in the video footage below riding the scooter carelessly took the corner a little too wide and too fast. As a result, he drifted to the other side of the road and eventually lost traction and fell down.

Luckily for the biker, the driver of the oncoming vehicle (which appears to be an older-generation Toyota Corolla sedan), was fully alert and managed to avoid hitting him the last moment.

Unless you're one of those chaps that wear their Saab shades no matter what happens, the news that the 9-5 Sedan 2.8V6 Turbo has been named Car of the Year by a Consumer Guide, published by Wheels Asia in Singapore, can only provoke giggles.

And we say this not because the 9-5 is a bad car, but how can you possibly give a top recommendation (remember, this isn't a comparo but a Consumers Guide) to any vehicle from an automaker that has barely produced a car in the past six months and which recently went under bankruptcy protection and its future is clearly on the line?
